St. Philip Church Of God In Christ was founded in 1946 by the late Pastor Henry M. Evans. It was known as a "powerhouse" for spreading the gospel of Christ's incredible healing power. Supt. Evans called Pastor Lynch his Pastor and would lead St. Philip. Elder William Lynch, known for his ability to retain and recite scriptures, faithfully led the church decades before his death, handing the reigns to his son, Pastor Martaz Lynch, in March 2021. Though a devastating fire displaced our congregation just months after, we are physically and spiritually rebuilding.
St. Philip Church of God in Christ aims to lead people into the life-changing presence of God, help believers mature in their faith, and selflessly serve our surrounding community. We desire people to experience wholeness, walk in divine purpose, and dwell in the grace and glory of Jesus Christ through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

We are so thankful to God and His faithful provision through our community of believers. We know the best is yet to come as we grow deeper in passion for Jesus Christ and wider in impact to our neighborhoods. We feel called to create "a house of prayer for all people" and believe our new chapel and ministry center will be home to life change for years to come.
